Before anything else we should know the meaning of the word Great Prayerwill: sf (lat oration) 1 gram set of words that express a complete thought. 3 Speech, sermon. 4 Liturge lift the soul to God. As we have seen, there are several meanings of the word prayer, however, I must stress its use with only one goal:Connecting ourselves to God.
Prayer is a term widely used in various denominations, regardless of religion. However it is misused as many do, including - you and me. Some topics before anything are important:
We know who is directed
What is purpose of our petitions?
What results we get?
What causes doubts in the minds of many, is to direct the prayer into something that has no sufficient basis for answers, which in turn can be personal or não.Um clear example:
A person who does not understand what is going wrong in feeling life, in which her feelings are always rejected by the person Bwho does not love her - in fact that person A is replaced by a limited view, ie she can not see heart that Person B - apparently lovely. In sometimes those petitions are made to idols, or even people who claim to be revealed to the point of knowing all the intimate personal lives, and often end up deceiving themselves.Provide prayers to idols not necessarily be a lifeless (ie god of clay, wood etc..) Can be a great artist famoso.Mas, none of it good!
See what the Bible says:
5 They have mouths but speak not: eyes have they, but not seen.
6 They have ears but hear not: noses have they, but not smell.
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 they become like those who do, as do all who trust in them.(Psalm 115: 5-8)
The text of Psalms is quite clear in reporting these facts, therefore, is similar to trusts. There is a heaven for this prayer, in this case will NOT be answered, the question is directed only to God:
12 And call upon me, and go on, and pray unto me, and I will listen.
13 And ye shall seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
(Jeremiah 29: 12-13)
We could cite many different situations in which they all would have to have the base as a prayer!
How could you communicate verbally with someone without speaking? It would be difficult is not it? - The only option would be written, but would spend much time writing on a paper ... The same thing we have to be with GOD! We must be constant in prayer with the Father!

Prayer is communicating with God in a way that we know his purposes, in which he planned as his divine will, that is, only God knows the future of our lives. PRAYER IS THE COMMUNION WITH THE FATHER, GO BEYOND THE KNOW, and have intimate WITH GOD:
9 Therefore, you should pray: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as in heaven;
11 The day our daily bread give us today;
12 And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors;
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen (Matthew 6:9-13)
NOTE: The Lord's Prayer, a prayer was led by Jesus Christ, therefore, it is still a prayer directed to God. You can even pray to God telling everything that happens in your life - God does not reject prayer, prayer and spiritual nourishment. He understands your prayers! Only CIRSCUNTÂNCIAS OF INDEPENDENT TRUST YOUR EYES TO WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE! OUR GOD IS THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE, cry out to HIM!
"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (James 5: 16b)
